Egg Rice

This used to be my breakfast almost every day in middle and high school. I don’t usually have time to make breakfast anymore since my classes start early or I wake up as late as I can on the days I don’t have school, but this is a bfast favorite.

There are two different ways to cook the egg for this, depending on whether you like your yolk cooked or raw. The raw yolk makes the rice taste so creamy and delicioussss….

INGREDIENTS: makes 1 serving

  • bowl of rice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • cayenne pepper (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS: Scrambled

  1. Scramble your egg in your fry pan (with olive oil) with a pinch of salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper
  2. Once your eggs are scrambled, put it on top of the rice and add your soy sauce and sesame oil
  3. Mix well
  4. ENJOY!!

INSTRUCTIONS: Sunny side up

  1. Turn on your fry pan and add olive oil
  2. Crack your egg into the pan before the pan is too hot. Cook on low/med-med heat (do not cook on high heat)
  3. Sprinkle some salt onto your egg and let cook until egg white is cooked
